Overview

Dom Angélico was born into a poor family and distinguished himself by supporting the social movements that emerged in the late 1950s. In the realm of journalism, he kept communities informed through *Grita Povo*. Persecuted by the military dictatorship, he confronted the police and faced repeated arrests and threats, yet he never fell silent.
