A director returns to his childhood home to recreate, with actors, the argument that drove his parents apart when he was four years old. Through improvisation and a film shoot that reveals his own artifice, he builds memories to which he never had access. But as the scene repeats itself, the indications lose their clarity and the border between reconstruction and desire start to blur.
